Prepare to go to the Moon: Prime Minister called the children
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the children to prepare from now to travel to the moon through acquiring scientific knowledge and carrying research. 'One day we will go to the moon. So, you have to prepare in that way from now on', said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister made this call to the students while inaugurating the 'Bangabandhu Corner' at Gimadanga Tungipara Model Government Primary School in Tungipara, Gopalganj on Saturday, July 6. In this school founded in 1912, which commemorates Bangabandhu, she also unveiled the album titled 'Eso Bangabandhuke Jani' (Let’s Learn about Bangabandhu) drawn by children with special needs.
Sheikh Hasina said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had a special love for people from his childhood. From then, he worked for people. He did not look for any personal benefits in his life. Only one thought emerged him was how to free the people of this country from poverty. His aim was how to give a better life and so that little children can have a better life.
The PM said, I think that the initiative taken here today by the children with special needs who made an album with their drawings present the history through pictures; actually the pictures speak and through this children are getting an opportunity to know the history.
The Prime Minister mentioned that, “You will go to big positions one day, you will hold big responsibilities as a Prime minister or minister like me, will do research works, become scientists. And we'll go to the moon someday, no worries. So, everyone has to prepare and study that way from now on.'
Earlier, Prime Minister was welcomed by the students when he reached the school where Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman studied. During this time, she exchanged greetings with the students and inquired about them.
